Death Cab for Cutie

A couple weekends ago I went to see Death Cab for Cutie with John Vanderslice play in Munich. The show was awesome, there were only about 400 people in attendace and the venue was nice and small. I was amazed by the performance. The pictures are a bit blurry, and this is because I didn't want to be the jerk assaulting the band with flashes from my camera all night.

I tried a new method of compression for the video, the result is a file size of 1/5 the original however, the audio and video fall out of sync. This isn't really a big problem because the audio is crap anyway, I just wanted to make the zuschauer a bit jealous.

So this is the New Year.

Bierdiplom

Ich habs geschafft! Bamberg is a beer city. This is not because all of the buildings are made out of hops and barley, but because there are 10 breweries in the city limit. In order to recieve a bierdiplom, one must drink a beer from each of the breweries and get a stamp indicating that you did indeed complete your task. I have never before consumed so much beer in one 24 hour period, however here it is the next day and I feel fine. The official website is: http://www.bierdiplom-bamberg.de

Aisling's Birthday Party

Aisling turned 21 on Valentines Day and had an irish party to celebrate, complete with beer and dancing. I had trouble trying to rotate one of the videos using mplayer, for some reason when it rotated the image it also slowed it down by 20% or so making the audio go out of sync. Anywho, below are the vids.

Sports, part 2

Went for a run through snowy Bamberg, it was beautiful.

Made (yes made) and ate some sushi, it was delicious.

Bowled, it was painful.

As you all should know, Bamberg is the Deutscher Basketball-Meister and I was fortunate enough to see them in action against the Italian Basketball-Meister in the EuropaischeMeisterschaft. Unfortunately Bamberg lost, but the basketball game was still loads of fun.

I also got to see FC Nürnberg (at the time ranked 2nd to last) play Hamburg SV (at the time ranked 2nd best in Germany Si.com) in Nürnberg. With a surprising 2-1 victory Nürnberg fans were quite satisified. Below are the pictures from the two events, enjoy.
