The Alps

Monday, January 23, 2006

This weekend I went to Bad Tölz for a bit of skiing in the Alps. Granted it was my first time ever skiing in my life but the University provided ski instruction free of charge for us (to my knowledge Clemson doesn't offer anything like this). Our accomidations were sehr angenehm, I had my own private room with a balcony, a television and a private bathroom for two nights. Since I didn't have any proper ski attire I kept the falling to a minimum (Jeans are not very waterproof). I had originally planned on learning the snowboard but had to switch to the skis at the last minute (however before I gave up the snowboard I posed for photo op).

My experience shows that if you ever get the chance to ski in the Alps, you should take it :D
