Oktoberfest
This weekend, the international department organized a trip for all exchange students Munich for Oktoberfest. I admire them for planning such an outing. The day started out well enough, at 7:30 am the busses picked us up from our dorm and we left for Munich. This weekend happened to be the italian weekend for Oktoberfest, so the roads were packed and on the radio all the traffic announcements were made in German and Italian. With a planned arrival time of 11am, we ended up getting to Munich at around 1pm.
In Munich we had a guided tour of the city, and then we were set free to do our own thing. Oktoberfest is the most popular folk festival in the world, and during the weekend we had absolutely no room to walk around. After waiting for about half an hour to get into one of the main breweries, Wes, Mary, Kristen and I decided to move on to a smaller bar. Wes, Mary and Kristen for some reason thought it would be a good idea to overnight in Munich instead of heading back with the rest of the group. I disagreed on account of the fact that
