Atlanta

Recently a new Ikea store opened in Atlanta. Since I purchased my sofa from Ikea, I thought it might be nice to check out the store and see what kind of covers I could buy for it. When we finally got to the store I was overwhelmed with how large it was, and even though the parking garage was two stories there were still no parking spaces available. The store was enormous. The layout of the store requires patrons to walk through each and every section of Ikea's products, and then at the end we were able to finally pick up what we wanted and then check out. It was a full service Ikea complete with cafeteria, so if you wanted you could literally live in the store; leave your car in the garage, sleep in one of the displays and eat in the cafeteria.

Since we were already in Atlanta we thought we might as well check out downtown and see what was going on. Apparantly there was a "Black arts festival"

So we checked it out for a while and noticed that there were quite a few people congregating around a stage that had been set up just outside underground atlanta. Apparantly there was a free Weezer/the Bravery concert that evening, and by free I mean completely free. Which is interesting because two years ago I paid $40 to see Weezer in Raleigh. We only stayed for a couple songs, though, and then went back to Clemson.

This weekend there is a free Ben Folds concert in Atlanta, but I'll be going to Charleston with my German Class and running the "Burning the Bridges Run."

Es wird spass!
