New Camera

I finally got a new digital camera.

I chose the Cannon Powershot a400 because it is cheap and simple. I needed a new camera for all the wonderful pictures I'll be taking in Germany, but I didn't want one with a lot of bells and whistles that I would never use. What I need is something small, with decent image resolution and battery life, that I can take with me wherever. So far this is that camera.

Autechre

For Memorial Day weekend Kate, Peter, Anna and myself all went to see Autechre perform live at the Orange Peel in Ashville, NC. Opening for Autechre were Rob Hall and snd. Rob Hall spun some above average techno, and snd was the abrasive controlled noise which I expected Autechre to be. When Autechre came on I prepared myself for the most painful static imaginable only to be surprised with a regular baseline intermixed with familiar samples from their albums. I was a little disappointed, yet at the same time relieved, that their live performance wasn't as much like their albums. Their latest album, Untilted, is quite worth the money. Get your copy today!
